Probably what I love most about the internet would be a close tie between watching video footage of inter-species friendship and receiving event invitations. A not distant third would be watching skilled people cook.
Show me how you braided that challah bread. Convince me through sight and sound that reverse sear really is the best method for cooking steak. Bring me your knife sharpening skills, your 12-inch-high meringues, your edible flower presentations, your fried chicken demonstrations, and your spinach pie filling. I’m into all of it. But the big take away from COVID times and internet cooks is that there is some hidden gem in EVERYONE’s pantry. And that, apparently, we all have pantries, or at least we all should.
