Hamilton Arts & Letters   PLAY AUDIO VERSION: voice of Roxanna Bennett   I’ve never written one of these before, and although I had served as a guest editor for a special issue of a magazine before (Matrix Magazine: Mad Pride, issue 105) I have never before worked as part of an editorial team or with contributors to edit their work. Any omissions, mistakes, errors, are sure to be my own and not the fault of the contributors or my co-editors. The process of assembling this issue, the discussions around identity, labelling (am I a person with a disability or a disabled person? Apparently some people take these distinctions quite seriously), representation and ableism has been a large learning curve for me. As my health has declined in recent years, I have worked hard to simplify my life by managing stressors.
