Bev Campbell


Bev CampbellBeverly Campbell born and raised in North Toronto, widow, mother of four, 12 grandchildren. Retired Member of the Beach Guild of Fine Arts, participant in several shows a year displaying original oil and watercolour of historical buildings and illustrated pen and ink shopfronts.

Writing sources were gathered while working as food bank director near Regent Park, church planter in Vancouver, and Neighbourlink Program Director for Tri-cities.

First novel, Loganstone, was written in a garret in Stratford, subsisting as an artist, selling at Art in the Park. Returning to Toronto, working in an antiquarian book shop, gave rise to several beach, novels called ‘Rivka Green Mysteries.’ Further material was gathered while working for seven years as a Community Worker, frontline worker, Housing Advocate, Para Legal, at a major mission in the downtown core.

During the mission years a second novel was written called, Mardi Gras Wednesdays.

Short stories began to fill writing cases based on Greyhound travels across Canada and the United States. Several novels called Bracondale, with retired CSI Belle and Bobby Golden, who operate a forensics lab from a reconverted hearse along with their live-in associate Jesse Burnside.

Last summer I went to Springhill, Nova Scotia and bought a decommissioned church. I am officially called THE CHURCH LADY.

The Longwoods Saga now includes two short novels gleaned from three original 1861 diaries written by a youth name Eben Muir Rice. Eben Of Manor Mills, and Return To Martinsburg.
