In issue 11.2 (Fall 2018), Hamilton Arts & Letters will produce the New Brunswick Poetry issue. In concert with a co-editor (the big reveal will come soon), we will curate the work we feel is among the province’s best. Publishing new work is expected in a literary magazine, of course, and publishing the subjective “best” is similarly expected. (Why bother to get up in the morning and publish a magazine? And in other not-news, the earth revolves around the sun.) What will prove valuable in time will not only be the relatively unfamiliar poets offered to the HAL audience and how they stand up as the years pass, but also the prose criticism offered on topics relating to the poets and poetry of New Brunswick.
