Mary O'Connor
Mary O’Connor is a Professor of English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University. She writes on photography, with a co-authored (with Katherine Tweedie) book on the Hamilton born photographer Margaret Watkins: Seduced by Modernity: The Photography of Margaret Watkins (McGill-Queen’s, 2007). Her research and her teaching have focused on aspects of everyday life and the power of archives. She has co-curated exhibitions on women’s art and on the archive and everyday life at the Ontario Science Centre, McMaster Museum of Art, and Hamilton Artists’ Inc.
