Francine Cunningham
Francine Cunningham is an Aboriginal author, artist and educator originally from Calgary, Alberta. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, and a BFA in Theatre from UBC. In 2014 Francine participated in the Indigenous Writing Studio at the Banff Arts Centre; and was recognized with second place in the Our Story: Aboriginal Arts and Stories contest. Francine’s work has been published in Kimiwan magazine, The Ubyssey, and HA&L magazine.
Francine lives in Vancouver where she runs creative writing and visual art workshops, encouraging students to express their ideas around issues of identity. She is currently pursuing her first novel and a collection of short stories. [www.FrancineCunningham.ca]
