Peggyanne Mansfield
Peggyanne Mansfield was born in Nova Scotia, and lived most of her life in Hamilton, Ontario. Active in her community, Peggyanne’s family and friends remember her as a vibrant person who was passionate about woman's rights, justice, and equal opportunity for all.
In 2012 Peggyanne participated in McMaster University’s Discovery Program which offers a free class for people who had faced barriers to post-secondary education. Through this course Peggyanne revealed herself to be a gifted writer, and in the years that followed went on to pen a powerful memoir bravely recalling a life of trauma and, despite it, a future of love and healing.
