sophie anne edwards
sophie anne edwards (she/her/settler) is a geographer and interdisciplinary artist/writer who lives on Mnidoo Mnising (Manitoulin Island) in northeastern Ontario. Interested in mutually generative relations with ecosystems, she creates work that engages with the more-than-human and navigates her own fluid capacity as a person with long-term chronic illnesses. Her visual, video and text-based poetry has been published by Gap Riot Press, Blasted Tree Press, Capilano Review, Canadian Notes & Queries, among others, and is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, and the Ontario Arts Council.
