HA&L Biographical Sketch Monica Plant Monica Plant is a Hamilton-based artist, writer, and naturalist. She is also a self-described contemplative who “moves at a slow enough pace to see and hear things.” Four years ago, she moved from under the mountain to the north end of Hamilton where her frequent interaction with Bayfront Park continues to provide much of the inspiration for the haiku comics that she creates.
