His latest work, Lightness and Soul: Musings on Eight Jewish Writers (2011), was chosen as best non-fiction book at the 19th Annual Hamilton Literary Awards in 2012. His Hamilton Literary Award-winning essay "Duras" was published in HA&L issue four.1  Spring/Summer 2011. At the 2013 City of Hamilton Arts Awards, J.S.
