HA&L Biographical Sketch


Robert Clark Yates


   Robert Clark Yates is an artist living in Hamilton.  Primarily a visual artist, he also writes and makes music.  He was involved in establishing the Hamilton Artists Co-op (which became Hamilton Artists Inc.) and has been an active participant in the Hamilton art scene for about 40 years.  A sampling of his visual work can usually be found at you me gallery, the Pearl Company Gallery and the Blue Angel Gallery in Hamilton.  His books, The Blind and other poems, My Eye, Two Sides of a Centre and Angel Droppings, can be found in the Hamilton Public Library.  He wrote "An Introduction to the Sculpture of George Wallace" which appeared in the first issue of Hamilton Arts & Letters.
